Warm ‘n Snuggly!
Burr… it’s chilly in Alaska! But, what the heck it’s always chilly in Alaska, especially for pampered felines right? For a special treat, one of our customers just bought a luxury modern cat bed, custom ordered with special foam filling along with an opening in the back seam for the electric cord for a comfy pet warming pad. As a bonus, we were able to offer it at no extra charge, however since the bed is RONDO cat furniture custom made Germany; 220 volts would certainly create a worrisome situation. Instead, we suggested she buy a pad designed for U.S. use (110 volts), just to be on the safe side! Don’t want any crispy critters!
Cat and Mouse?
Years ago when my children were younger, a friend gave them two mice. We had two cats at the time and wondered what to do about them. Well, we explained to the cats that they were our pets and the mice were to be their pets and they had to take care of them. One cat was totally disinterested and the other cat very curious about the small creature in the cage. He decided that one was his pet! Good thing he took the caretaker position seriously, as that particular mouse was an escape artist. I would find it everywhere and the cat always let me know where it was. He really watched over his pet! This mouse was very social and liked to be where people were. If no one paid any attention to it, it would rattle the water bottle on its cage to attract attention. When the children took the mouse out to play with it the cat was always nearby in his cat bed watching. One day while the cat was in his bed the children put the mouse in with the cat, and the mouse promptly crawled up on the cat’s head and settled down for a nap! I guess the mouse felt secure napping with his caretaker!
Cat Talk from Lady Jane
Cats are amazing creatures and awesome to watch! Their lithe movements and supine positions are reminiscent of a well-oiled precision machine. Innate hunting skills allow them to survive even in the strangest situations. Independent and quirky personalities of cats are the delight of many pet owners. Several well used sayings about cats come to mind while watching our pets. “She walks on silent cat feet”, and “Dogs have masters, but cats have staff”. It is always surprising when a cat suddenly appears as if from nowhere. It can cause you to wonder!
Most cats love their toys and have playful natures. It is interesting to see what they find to play with that can keep them busy for some time. As much as they love their toys, they love a warm place to snuggle and snooze. Heated cat beds and cat condos are an ideal place for them to nap. They also like cat trees for exercise (especially indoor cats), and are great fun to watch while playing in one. Yes, we pamper our pets, and why not? They are a wonderful source of comfort and companionship. Watching their antics can amuse us for hours.
Outdoor Cat Condo Great For Travel

For families that go traveling and camping with their cat, this Outdoor Heated Kitty Camper is perfect to take with you. I’m sure it comes to many minds that nights can be very cold and sometimes a cat’s normal bed may not be enough to stay warm. The Heated Kitty Pad that is inserted into the unit ensures your cat will be sung as a bug in a rug! This bed is not just usable for trips away from home and camping, but also for the cat that loves to be outside. Cats with arthritis would also enjoy this bed as the warmth can sooth sore joints and muscles. Worried about energy? Not to worry! The Heated Kitty pad operates at a low wattage! Good for your pet and your peace of mind.
A Bird in a Cat Carrier?
We all know about our cats and their sometimes not so wonderful hunting abilities. Some cats really like to show off their trophies and ours was no exception. It was just around suppertime when the cat raced in to show us his prize. It was a bird! The bird, still alive, escaped from his jaws and fluttered around the kitchen. We captured the bird and placed it safely in the cat’s carrier. The next day, we took the little bird to Game Management. They took one look at our little bird and told us it was a baby Fly-Catcher and were surprised it had survived in the carrier overnight. The carrier door was opened. The bird escaped and flew around the office. One of the gentlemen there scooped it up in his hand. When he opened up his hand, the tiny bird had a firm grip with his little beak on a finger. He commented, “This one is a survivor”.
We brought the carrier home and the cat crawled in looking for his bird. After discovering the bird was missing, he looked at us and spit, scooted out of the carrier and furiously stalked outside with his ears flattened. He had to go and replace his trophy!
Harley, the Happy Cat

Did you ever think you’d see a cat riding on top of a guy’s motorcycle helmet wearing his own helmet & sunglasses? How did he get that cat to do that? Did “Harley,” the motorcycle cat jump on the cycle and meow, “Let’s jump the Zook, Crank It and go after that Yard Shark!” (translated: Let’s get on our Suzuki, roll on the throttle and go after that dog). Judging from the look of it, he probably doesn’t spend his afternoons snoozing in Fluffy’s heated cat bed! Do you suppose that’s his regular attire, or perhaps it’s his Halloween costume!
“Way down deep, we’re all motivated by the same urges. Cats have the courage to live by them.” – Jim Davis
