Cat Views

A much anticipated long summer vacation included a camping trip to Yellowstone National Park was about to begin. With several children and a very large cat in tow, we packed our supplies in the old station wagon.

We arrived at Yellowstone Park anxious to explore. The camp was set up and the Wicker Pet Crate Cabinet placed in the car, and off we went.

Returning to camp, we prepared our meal and retired for the night. Late that night my husband took our young son across the campground to the restroom, leaving the girls and me asleep in our sleeping bags. We were awakened by our big brave cat growling at a bear that was sniffing around outside. Of course, the cat was in the bottom of my sleeping bag. Finally, the cat emitted a very loud screeching growl from within the confines of my sleeping bag which sent the bear on his way. Shortly thereafter my husband and son returned. When he heard what had transpired, the cat was praised effusively. After all the excitement we decided the best place for the cat was in his crate. He was placed in the Pet Crate and he snuggled down to sleep in a safer environment.
