Ultimate Cat Food Taste-Test
We just received our first order of Life’s Abundance gourmet cat food this afternoon. I have been on a quest to improve the nutritional value of the cat food we’re feeding our little pals. Epecially since that frightening tainted pet-food recall last year, I think we’re all a little more cautious about what we feed our feline-family pets.
I stumbled upon Healthy Pet Net foods a couple of weeks ago. They offer a FREE sample pack of dry & can food along with treats for the cost of shipping. I was very impressed by the response of our resident taste testers. Admittedly, Zuli isn’t too particular, I think she’d even eat a Big Mac if allowed, but Doofie is the extreme opposite; a very fussy and finicky eater. Both loved their samples so I order online this week some of everything.
It could be argued a little pricey, but actually compared to premium pets foods like Nutro & Science Diet other than the shipping cost, about the same. I justified the additional expense to the cost of a vet visit, and considering a simple run-of-the-mill check-up is $70 in my neck of the woods, I figure it’s like that old auto commercial, “pay me now or pay me later.” Anyway, I’ve been feeding them the dry food from the sample pack like it’s a cat treat and they’re convinced it is. Today their first order arrived so immediately I splurged, doling out a portion of the dry food for each of them. Well, “Big Mac” Zuli cleaned her bowl, and even fussy Doofie made a significant dent in hers. Definitely a taste-tester winner and loaded with healthy nutrients too!
